What We Collect

ShipDomains collects minimal data to provide and improve the service:

• Business descriptions — the text you enter to generate domain names. This is sent to our AI provider to generate suggestions and is not stored permanently.
• Usage analytics — we use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, feature usage, and generation events. This helps us improve the product.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not require an account or login
• We do not collect email addresses
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties
• We do not use cookies for advertising

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — your business descriptions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate domain name suggestions. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics. See PostHog's privacy policy.

Data Storage

Your session data (descriptions, preferences, results) is stored only in your browser's sessionStorage and is cleared when you close the tab. We do not persist this data server-side.
